此后,奢摩他、毗钵舍那修习的
两种业处,我依次当说。

Samatha-vipassanānaṃ, bhāvanānam ito paraṃ,
Kammaṭṭhānaṃ pavakkhāmi, duvidham pi yathākkamaṃ. 120

奢摩他业处
Samathakammaṭṭhānaṃ

此处,先说在摄奢摩他中,依十遍、十不净、十随念、四无量、一想、一差别、四无色等七种,为摄奢摩他业处。

Tattha samathasaṅgahe tāva dasa kasiṇāni, dasa asubhā, dasa anussatiyo, catasso appamaññāyo, ekā saññā, ekaṃ vavatthānaṃ, cattāro āruppā ceti sattavidhena samatha-kammaṭṭhāna-saṅgaho.

依贪行者、嗔行者、痴行者、信行者、觉行者、寻行者等六种,为摄行者。

Rāgacaritā dosacaritā mohacaritā saddhācaritā buddhicaritā vitakkacaritā ceti chabbidhena caritasaṅgaho.

遍作修习、近行修习、安止修习等,为三修习。

Parikammabhāvanā upacārabhāvanā appanābhāvanā ceti tisso bhāvanā.

遍作相、取相、似相等,当知为三相。

Parikammanimittaṃ uggahanimittaṃ paṭibhāganimittañ ceti tīṇi nimittāni ca veditabbāni.

如何?地遍、水遍、火遍、风遍、青遍、黄遍、赤遍、白遍、虚空遍、光明遍等,是名十遍。

Kathaṃ? Pathavīkasiṇaṃ āpokasiṇaṃ tejokasiṇaṃ vāyokasiṇaṃ nīlakasiṇaṃ pītakasiṇaṃ lohitakasiṇaṃ odātakasiṇaṃ ākāsakasiṇaṃ ālokakasiṇañ ceti imāni dasa kasiṇāni nāma.

膨胀、青瘀、脓烂、断坏、食残、散乱、斩斫散乱、血涂、虫聚、骸骨等,是名十不净。

Uddhumātakaṃ vinīlakaṃ vipubbakaṃ vicchiddakaṃ vikkhāyitakaṃ vikkhittakaṃ hatavikkhittakaṃ lohitakaṃ puḷavakaṃ aṭṭhikañ ceti ime dasa asubhā nāma.

佛随念、法随念、僧随念、戒随念、舍随念、天随念、寂止随念、死随念、身至念、入出息念等,是名十随念。

Buddhānussati dhammānussati saṃghānussati sīlānussati cāgānussati devatānussati upasamānussati maraṇānussati kāyagatāsati ānāpānasati ceti imā dasa anussatiyo nāma.

慈、悲、喜、舍等,是名四无量,又称为梵住。

Mettā karuṇā muditā upekkhā ceti imā catasso appamaññāyo nāma, brahmavihāro ti ca pavuccati.

食厌想,名为一想。

Āhāre paṭikūlasaññā ekā saññā nāma.

四界差别,名为一差别。

Catudhātuvavatthānaṃ ekaṃ vavatthānaṃ nāma.

空无边处等,名为四无色。在奢摩他分别中有四十业处。

Ākāsānañcāyatanādayo cattāro āruppā nāmā ti sabbathāpi samathaniddese cattālīsa kammaṭṭhānāni bhavanti.

适宜的种类

其次,在行者中,十不净、称为身至念的部分修习,为贪行者的适宜。

Caritāsu pana dasa asubhā kāyagatāsati-saṅkhātā koṭṭhāsabhāvanā ca rāgacaritassa sappāyā.

四无量、青等四遍,为嗔行者的。

Catasso appamaññāyo nīlādīni ca cattāri kasiṇāni dosacaritassa.

入出息,为痴行者与寻行者的。

Ānāpānaṃ mohacaritassa vitakkacaritassa ca.

佛随念等六,为信行者的。

Buddhānussatiādayo cha saddhācaritassa.

死、寂止、想、差别,为觉行者的。

Maraṇa-upasama-saññā-vavatthānāni buddhicaritassa.

其次,其余一切业处,为一切行者的适宜,且于此诸遍中,广大者为痴行者的,而小者唯为寻行者的。

Sesāni pana sabbāni pi kammaṭṭhānāni sabbesam pi sappāyāni, tatthāpi kasiṇesu puthulaṃ mohacaritassa, khuddakaṃ vitakkacaritass’evā ti.

在修习中,在一切处中都可得遍作修习,在佛随念等八及想、差别等十业处中唯近行修习成就,而无安止。

Bhāvanāsu sabbatthāpi parikammabhāvanā labbhat’eva, buddhānussati-ādīsu aṭṭhasu saññā-vavatthānesu cā ti dasasu kammaṭṭhānesu upacārabhāvanā va sampajjati, natthi appanā.

其次,在其余正三十业处中安止修习成就。

Sesesu pana samatiṃsa-kammaṭṭhānesu appanābhāvanā pi sampajjati.

此处,十遍及入出息,为五禅者。

Tatthāpi dasa kasiṇāni ānāpānañ ca pañcakajjhānikāni.

十不净及身至念,为初禅者。

Dasa asubhā kāyagatāsati ca paṭhamajjhānikā.

慈等三,为四禅者。

Mettādayo tayo catukkajjhānikā.

舍,为第五禅者,这二十六为色界禅的业处。

Upekkhā pañcamajjhānikā ti chabbīsati rūpāvacarajjhānikāni kammaṭṭhānāni.

其次,四无色为无色禅者。

Cattāro pana āruppā āruppajjhānikā ti.

其次,在相中,遍作相及取相,在一切处可随宜以法而得。

Nimittesu pana parikammanimittaṃ uggahanimittañ ca sabbatthāpi yathārahaṃ pariyāyena labbhant’eva.

其次,似相,唯在遍、不净、部分、入出息中可得,此处,近行定及安止定就似相转起。

Paṭibhāganimittaṃ pana kasiṇāsubha-koṭṭhāsa-ānāpānesv eva labbhati, tattha hi paṭibhāganimittam ārabbha upacārasamādhi appanāsamādhi ca pavattanti.

如何?初习者于地的曼陀罗等摄取其相,此所缘称为遍作相,而此修习名为遍作修习。

Kathaṃ? Ādikammikassa hi pathavī-maṇḍalādīsu nimittaṃ uggaṇhantassa tam ārammaṇaṃ parikammanimittan ti pavuccati, sā ca bhāvanā parikammabhāvanā nāma.

其次,当以心摄取此相时,如以眼见般,来现于意门,则此所缘名为取相,而此修习则等持。

Yadā pana taṃ nimittaṃ cittena samuggahitaṃ hoti, cakkhunā passantasseva manodvārassa āpātham āgataṃ, tadā tam ev’ārammaṇaṃ uggahanimittaṃ nāma, sā ca bhāvanā samādhiyati.

如是,此等持者随后于此取相以遍作定从事修习,当与之相似、脱离于依处法、被称为概念、修所成的所缘于心中安立、安顿时,则称之为似相生起。

Tathā samāhitassa pan’etassa tato paraṃ tasmiṃ uggahanimitte parikammasamādhinā bhāvanam anuyuñjantassa yadā tappaṭibhāgaṃ vatthudhamma-vimuccitaṃ paññattisaṅkhātaṃ bhāvanāmayam ārammaṇaṃ citte sannisinnaṃ samappitaṃ hoti, tadā taṃ paṭibhāganimittaṃ samuppannan ti pavuccati.

从此,名为舍断障碍、称为欲界定的近行修习完成。

Tato paṭṭhāya paripantha-vippahīnā kāmāvacara-samādhi-saṅkhātā upacārabhāvanā nipphannā nāma hoti.

随后,即于此似相,以近行定习行者,安止于色界初禅。

Tato paraṃ tam eva paribhāganimittaṃ upacārasamādhinā samāsevantassa rūpāvacara-paṭhamajjhānam appeti.

随后,即于此初禅,以转向、进入、决意、出起、省察等五自在而得自在,为舍弃寻等粗支而生起伺等细支而努力者,依次随宜安止于第二禅等。

Tato paraṃ tam eva paṭhamajjhānaṃ āvajjanaṃ samāpajjanaṃ adhiṭṭhānaṃ vuṭṭhānaṃ paccavekkhaṇā ceti imāhi pañcahi vasitāhi vasībhūtaṃ katvā vitakkādikam oḷārikaṅgaṃ pahānāya vicārādi-sukhumaṅgupattiyā padahato yathākkamaṃ dutiyajjhānādayo yathāraham appenti.

如是,在地遍等二十二业处中可得似相。

Icc evaṃ pathavīkasiṇādīsu dvāvīsatikammaṭṭhānesu paṭibhāganimittam upalabbhati.

其次,在其余中,无量于有情的概念而转起。

Avasesesu pana appamaññā satta-paññattiyaṃ pavattanti.

其次,在除虚空的遍中,对除去任一遍后,于所得的空以无边而修遍作者,安止于第一无色。

Ākāsa-vajjita-kasiṇesu pana yaṃ kiñci kasiṇaṃ ugghāṭetvā laddham ākāsaṃ anantavasena parikammaṃ karontassa paṭhamāruppam appeti.

即于此第一无色的识,以无边而修遍作者,安止于第二无色。

Tam eva paṭhamāruppa-viññāṇaṃ anantavasena parikammaṃ karontassa dutiyāruppam appeti.

其次,即于此第一无色的识以「无所有」而修遍作者,安止于第三无色。

Tam eva paṭhamāruppa-viññāṇābhāvaṃ pana “natthi kiñcī” ti parikammaṃ karontassa tatiyāruppam appeti.

于第三无色以「此是寂静、此是胜妙」而修遍作者,安止于第四无色。

Tatiyāruppaṃ “santam etaṃ, paṇītam etan” ti parikammaṃ karontassa catutthāruppam appeti.

在其余的十业处中,若就佛陀的功德等为所缘而行遍作,在善能把握此相时,唯于此遍作等持,近行成就。

Avasesesu ca dasasu kammaṭṭhānesu buddhaguṇādikam ārammaṇam ārabbha parikammaṃ katvā tasmiṃ nimitte sādhukam uggahite tatth’eva parikammañ ca samādhiyati, upacāro ca sampajjati.

其次,于以神通转起色界第五禅而修遍作者,从神通足处的第五禅出起,转向决意等后,于色等所缘随宜而安止。

Abhiññāvasena pavattamānaṃ pana rūpāvacara-pañcamajjhānaṃ abhiññāpādaka-pañcamajjhānā vuṭṭhahitvā adhiṭṭheyyādikam āvajjetvā parikammaṃ karontassa rūpādīsu ārammaṇesu yathāraham appeti.

种种神变、天耳、他心智、
宿住随念智、天眼等五种。

其次,在毗钵舍那业处中,摄清净,即戒清净、心清净、见清净、度疑清净、道非道智见清净、行道智见清净、智见清净等七种。

Vipassanākammaṭṭhāne pana sīlavisuddhi cittavisuddhi diṭṭhivisuddhi kaṅkhāvitaraṇavisuddhi maggāmaggañāṇadassanavisuddhi paṭipadāñāṇadassanavisuddhi ñāṇadassanavisuddhi ceti sattavidhena visuddhisaṅgaho.

无常相、苦相、无我相等,为三相。

Aniccalakkhaṇaṃ dukkhalakkhaṇaṃ anattalakkhaṇañ ceti tīṇi lakkhaṇāni.

无常随观、苦随观、无我随观等,为三随观。

Aniccānupassanā dukkhānupassanā anattānupassanā ceti tisso anupassanā.

思惟智、生灭智、坏智、怖畏智、过患智、厌离智、欲解脱智、省察智、行舍智、随顺智等,为十观智。

Sammasanañāṇaṃ udayabbayañāṇaṃ bhaṅgañāṇaṃ bhayañāṇaṃ ādīnavañāṇaṃ nibbidāñāṇaṃ muccitukamyatāñāṇaṃ paṭisaṅkhāñāṇaṃ saṅkhārupekkhāñāṇaṃ anulomañāṇañ ceti dasa vipassanāñāṇāni.

空解脱、无相解脱、无愿解脱等,为三解脱。

Suññato vimokkho, animitto vimokkho, appaṇihito vimokkho ceti tayo vimokkhā.

空随观、无相随观、无愿随观等,当知为三解脱门。

Suññatānupassanā animittānupassanā appaṇihitānupassānā ceti tīṇi vimokkhamukhāni ca veditabbāni.

如何?别解脱律仪戒、根律仪戒、活命遍净戒、资具依止戒等四遍净戒,名为戒清净。

Kathaṃ? Pātimokkhasaṃvarasīlaṃ indriyasaṃvarasīlaṃ ājīvapārisuddhisīlaṃ paccayasannissitasīlañ ceti catupārisuddhisīlaṃ sīlavisuddhi nāma.

近行定、安止定等二种定,名为心清净。

Upacārasamādhi appanāsamādhi ceti duvidho pi samādhi cittavisuddhi nāma.

以相、味、现起、足处等把握名色,名为见清净。

Lakkhaṇa-rasa-paccupaṭṭhāna-padaṭṭhāna-vasena nāmarūpa-pariggaho diṭṭhivisuddhi nāma.

即于彼等名色之缘的把握,名为度疑清净。

Tesam eva ca nāmarūpānaṃ paccaya-pariggaho kaṅkhāvitaraṇavisuddhi nāma.

随后,于如是把握的具缘的过去等类的三界诸行中,就蕴等的方法,以聚简括后,「以灭尽之义为无常,以怖畏之义为苦,以不坚实之义为无我」,或以世,或以相续,或以刹那,以思惟智思惟三相者,即于彼等以缘及以刹那,以生灭智随观生灭。

Tato paraṃ pana tathāpariggahitesu sappaccayesu tebhūmaka-saṅkhāresu atītādi-bhedabhinnesu khandhādi-nayam ārabbha kalāpavasena saṅkhipitvā “aniccaṃ khayaṭṭhena, dukkhaṃ bhayaṭṭhena, anattā asārakaṭṭhenā” ti addhānavasena santativasena khaṇavasena vā sammasanañāṇena lakkhaṇattayaṃ sammasantassa tesv eva paccayavasena khaṇavasena ca udayabbayañāṇena udayabbayaṃ samanupassantassa ca.

光明、喜、轻安、胜解、策励、
乐、智、现起、舍、欲等。

Obhāso pīti passaddhi, adhimokkho ca paggaho,
Sukhaṃ ñāṇam upaṭṭhānam upekkhā ca nikanti ceti.

由能把握光明等的观染为障碍,道、非道的相的差别名为道非道智见清净。

Obhāsādi-vipassanupakkilesa-paripanthapariggahavasena maggāmagga-lakkhaṇa-vavatthānaṃ maggāmaggañāṇadassanavisuddhi nāma.

其次,对如是解脱障碍者,从生灭智直至随顺,以一系列的观于三相行道的九观智,名为行道智见清净。

Tathā paripanthavimuttassa pana tassa udayabbayañāṇato paṭṭhāya yāvānulomā tilakkhaṇaṃ vipassanāparamparāya paṭipajjantassa nava vipassanāñāṇāni paṭipadāñāṇadassanavisuddhi nāma.

其次,对如是行道者,到达观的成熟后,「现在,安止将会生起」,便断了有分,于生起意门转向的无间,二三观心就无常等任何相转起,名为遍作、近行、随顺。

Tass’evaṃ paṭipajjantassa pana vipassanāparipākam āgamma “idāni appanā uppajjissatī” ti bhavaṅgaṃ vocchijjitvā uppanna-manodvārāvajjanānantaraṃ dve tīṇi vipassanā-cittāni yaṃ kiñci aniccādi-lakkhaṇam ārabbha parikammopacārānulomanāmena pavattanti.

此至于顶点者,称为随顺、行舍、至出起观。

Yā sikhāppattā, sā sānulomā saṅkhārupekkhā vuṭṭhānagāmini-vipassanā ti ca pavuccati.

随后,以涅槃为所缘、超越凡夫种姓而成圣者种姓的种姓心转起。

Tato paraṃ gotrabhucittaṃ nibbānam ālambitvā puthujjana-gottam abhibhavantaṃ, ariyagottam abhisambhontañ ca pavattati.

此后无间,知苦谛、断集谛、证灭谛、修道谛的道以修习之力进入安止路。

Tassānantaram eva maggo dukkhasaccaṃ parijānanto, samudayasaccaṃ pajahanto, nirodhasaccaṃ sacchikaronto, maggasaccaṃ bhāvanāvasena appanāvīthim otarati.

随后,二三果心转起后,便堕入有分,于是再断有分,诸省察智转起。

Tato paraṃ dve tīṇi phalacittāni pavattitvā bhavaṅgapāto va hoti, puna bhavaṅgaṃ vocchinditvā paccavekkhaṇañāṇāni pavattanti.

智者省察道、果及涅槃,
或者省察已断及残余的烦恼。

如是应以六清净的次第修习,四种
道被称为智见清净。

此处,无我随观舍弃我执,名为空随观之解脱门。

Tattha anattānupassanā attābhinivesaṃ muñcantī suññatānupassanā nāma vimokkhamukhaṃ hoti.

无常随观舍弃颠倒相,名为无相随观。

Aniccānupassanā vipallāsanimittaṃ muñcantī animittānupassanā nāma.

苦随观舍弃渴爱之愿,名为无愿随观。

Dukkhānupassanā taṇhāpaṇidhiṃ muñcantī appaṇihitānupassanā nāma.

所以,若至出起观从无我修观,名为空解脱之道。

Tasmā yadi vuṭṭhānagāmini-vipassanā anattato vipassati, suññato vimokkho nāma hoti maggo.

若从无常修观,名为无相解脱。

Yadi aniccato vipassati, animitto vimokkho nāma.

若从苦修观,名为无愿解脱。道依观的径路可得三名,同样,果在道的路中依道的径路。

Yadi dukkhato vipassati, appaṇihito vimokkho nāmā ti ca maggo vipassanāgamanavasena tīṇi nāmāni labhati, tathā phalañ ca maggāgamanavasena maggavīthiyaṃ.

其次,在果定的路中,对依前所述的方法修观而生起各自的果者,唯依观的径路,称为空等解脱,其次,依所缘及依自味,三名在一切处对所有人都相同。

Phalasamāpatti-vīthiyaṃ pana yathāvuttanayena vipassantānaṃ yathāsakaphalam uppajjamānam pi vipassanāgamanavasen’eva suññatādi-vimokkho ti ca pavuccati, ārammaṇavasena pana sarasavasena ca nāmattayaṃ sabbattha sabbesam pi samam eva ca.

这是解脱的种类

这里,修习须陀洹道已,由舍断见、疑而舍断恶趣行者,最多七次,名为须陀洹。

Ettha pana sotāpattimaggaṃ bhāvetvā diṭṭhi-vicikicchā-pahānena pahīnāpāyagamano sattakkhattuparamo sotāpanno nāma hoti.

修习斯陀含道已,由贪、嗔、痴薄,名为斯陀含,唯来此世间一次。

Sakadāgāmimaggaṃ bhāvetvā rāga-dosa-mohānaṃ tanukarattā sakadāgāmī nāma hoti sakid eva imaṃ lokaṃ āgantvā.

修习阿那含道已,由对欲贪、嗔恚舍断残余,名为阿那含,不复还来于此。

Anāgāmimaggaṃ bhāvetvā kāmarāga-byāpādānam anavasesappahānena anāgāmī nāma hoti anāgantvā itthattaṃ.

修习阿罗汉道已,由舍断残余的烦恼者,名阿罗汉,为漏尽者、世间最上应供者。

Arahattamaggaṃ bhāvetvā anavasesakilesappahānena arahā nāma hoti khīṇāsavo loke aggadakkhiṇeyyo ti.

这是人的种类

其次,在果定的路中,对所有人,唯依各自的果而成就。

Phalasamāpatti-vīthiyaṃ pan’ettha sabbesam pi yathāsakaphalavasena sādhāraṇā va.

其次,入灭尽定唯对阿那含、阿罗汉可得,于此,依次入初禅等的大界定并出起后,于各处观所至的诸行法,直至无所有处,随后,作决意等的前行,入非想非非想处,经二安止速行,心相续断绝,从此名为灭尽定。

Nirodhasamāpatti-samāpajjanaṃ pana anāgāmīnañ c’eva arahantānañ ca labbhati, tattha yathākkamaṃ paṭhamajjhānādi-mahaggatasamāpattiṃ samāpajjitvā vuṭṭhāya tattha gate saṅkhāradhamme tattha tatth’eva vipassanto yāva ākiñcaññāyatanaṃ gantvā tato paraṃ adhiṭṭheyyādikaṃ pubbakiccaṃ katvā nevasaññānāsaññāyatanaṃ samāpajjati, tassa dvinnaṃ appanājavanānaṃ parato vocchijjati cittasantati, tato nirodhasamāpanno nāma hoti.

其次,在出起时,阿那含之阿那含果心、阿罗汉之阿罗汉果心转起一时分后,便堕入有分,随后转起省察智。

Vuṭṭhānakāle pana anāgāmino anāgāmiphalacittaṃ, arahato arahattaphalacittaṃ ekavāram eva pavattitvā bhavaṅgapāto hoti, tato paraṃ paccavekkhaṇañāṇaṃ pavattati.

这是等至的种类
